A state-of-the-art Philips Medical Systems HDI 4D ultrasound system is used to produce moving 4D images of the baby. These images are then recorded onto a DVD disc so that the parents, friends and relatives have a permanent record of their unborn baby's movements and expressions. During the same scanning session a number of 3D 'still' images are also recorded on to a CD ROM disc. This allows the parents to print, e-mail and store the digital 3D images of their baby onto a computer.
